Mode of OperationCircular Mode:
Recommended for heating only applications, operates all heaters and contactors evenly.
First stage on is first stage off. Starts or restarts with all stages off.

Up-Down Mode:
Required for heating/cooling applications, starts or restarts with all stages off.
Initial heating or cooling stage is energized as equired and transition between heat/cool is automatic.
The last step on is the first step off.
