Units have been shock tested to MIL-S-901C and vibration tested to MIL-STD 167.

These duct thermostats are used on rooftops with make-up heaters, duct heaters and air-venting systems of all types. They have SPDT snap-acting contact units and are unaffected by barometric pressure or cross temperatures. Flat flange mounting with a special coil element permits positioning the sensing bulb in the appropriate position in the air stream.

For control of residential, commercial or industrial heating or year round air conditioning, heat or cold anticipators are not required. Liquid charged temperature sensing elements, highly efficient diaphragms and leverage assures close control of temperature.

Valad can supply four basic control panels:
(1) Remote Mechanical
(2) Integral Mechanical
(3) Remote Solid State
(4) Integral Solid State

Note: 100 kW heater requires 130 ampere load, will use 200 ampere disconnect.

On multi-stage control boxes, 3 or greater, a solid state staging controller should be used.

Control panel will have the following components:

Six staging contacts (primary)
Six staging contactors (secondary)
Control transformer 440/120
Transformer to be fused
Through cover disconnect
Terminal block for remote thermostats (six)
Terminal block for duct stat
Terminal block for sail switch
Terminal block for manual hi-limit thermostat/one per stage
Valad will assign a drawing number to each control box when order is placed. Prints of the control box and wiring diagram will be put on file and a copy sent to customer for future reference.

Customer to list all the components (See Example A).

Used in Valad’s Integral or Remote Solid Staging Controller

Note: Total number of Heat and Cool steps can not exceed 10.

Valad SCR controls are of the zero voltage fired type (eliminate radio noise).
